OUR CURRICULUM

JNissi High School (JNHS) runs a Nigerian British curriculum which cuts across the Junior and Senior Secondary levels of education with the focus of ensuring that each child experiences all round quality academic excellence.

Our curriculum meets the requirements of the State, Federal Ministry of Education and both local and international examination bodies. It will also ensure that our students fit in easily into any other educational and work environment anywhere in the world.

Students are exposed to various practical experiences that consolidate the classroom teaching. Our team of qualified, innovative and experienced personnel discharge their duties with consideration for individual uniqueness and differences, giving every student personal attention with the benefit of remedial classes, where necessary.

We operate a fully integrated and challenging curriculum with extensive use of E-Learning leading to the following examinations.
  • National Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) NECO
  • Cambridge Checkpoint
  • West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  • National Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) NECO
  • Cambridge IGCSE

INTENSIVE TUITION
Intensive tuition ensures that students become thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the syllabus.  At JNissi High School, students receive a minimum of six hours of tuition per day. In addition, students are expected to follow up on their work by completing assignments and studying using textbooks, notebooks, Laptop computers and the internet.

Our teachers help students develop examination techniques and strategies so that by the end of their study they are able to apply the knowledge they have gained to achieve good grades.

Our teachers ensure that learning is stimulating and enjoyable by encouraging directed discussions which go on well after lessons. Adequate time is allocated for general interaction in class every week. Because of this stimulating style, students leave JNissi High School bold, mature and ready to face the future with confidence.

Online study is an integral part of our offering. Our educators and students are engaged daily online for digital transfer of knowledge and our students have a platform to collaborate and share academic experiences.

Practical hand-on experience is embedded in all our teaching and learning process and our students study to know how things work and how things are done.
